OUR BELIEFS

The Bible

The Bible is God’s unique revelation to people. It is the inspired, infallible Word of God, and the supreme and final authority on all matters upon which it teaches.  No other writings are vested with such divine authority.

God

There is only one God, creator of heaven and earth, who exists eternally as three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each fully God yet each personally distinct from the other.

Apart from Jesus Christ, all people are spiritually lost and because of sin, deserve the judgment of God.  However, God gives salvation and eternal life to anyone who trusts in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on his or her behalf.  Salvation is not earned through personal goodness or human effort.  It is a gift that must be received by humble repentance and faith in Christ and His finished work on the cross.

Jesus

Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity, was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless human life, willingly took upon Himself all of our sins, died and rose again bodily, and is at the right hand of the Father as our advocate and mediator.  Someday, He will return to consummate history and fulfill the eternal plan of God.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, convicts the world of sin and draws people to Christ.  He also indwells all believers.  He is available to empower them to lead Christ-like lives and gives them spiritual gifts with which to serve the church and reach out to a lost and needy world.

Death

Death seals the eternal destiny of each person, at the final judgment, unbelievers will be separated from God into condemnation.  Believers will be received into God’s loving presence and rewarded for their faithfulness to Him in this life.

Believers

All believers, are members of the body of Christ, the one true church universal.  Spiritual unity is expressed among Christians by acceptance and love of one another across ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, national, generational, gender, and denominational lines.

The Church

The local church is a congregation of believers who gather for worship, prayer, instruction, encouragement, mutual accountability, and community with each other.  Through it, believers invest time, energy, and resources to fulfill the Great Commission-reaching lost people and growing them into fully devoted followers of Christ.

Marriage

Marriage, as described in the story of creation (Genesis 2:24) and affirmed by Jesus (Mark 10:6-9), is designed by God to be a covenantal, lifelong, exclusive relationship between one man and one woman and that all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship is immoral and sinful (Proverbs 2:16-17; Malachi 2:14). We believe that God wonderfully created two distinct sexes, male and female (Genesis 1:27). The lifelong, sexually exclusive relationship also brings children into the world and thus sustain the stewardship of the earth. Biblical marriage is marked by faithful-ness, sacrificial love, and joy, because it displays the relationship between God and His people (Exodus 20:14, 17; Leviticus 18:22-23; Hosea 2:16; Matthew 5:27-28, 19:4-9; John 2:1-12; Romans 1:18-32; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; 1 Timothy 1:8-11; Hebrews 13:4; Jude 7; Revelation 21:1-9).

OUR AFFILIATIONS

The Conservative Congregational Christian Conference is a theologically conservative denomination believing strongly in the autonomy of each local church under the headship of Christ. Though our members hold strong biblical convictions, we do not believe that Christians should divide over secondary issues. As an evangelical denomination, in obedience to Jesus Christ, we work together to advance the kingdom of our Lord through evangelism, church planting and missions.

We love helping pastors and churches fulfill their vision by breaking barriers in growth, giving, and volunteer engagement!
